Tim's Live Ranking During Week 22-23 (Roland Garros)

The New Table is posted here (on britishtennis.net)

Tim loses the 35 points he gained for a second round place last year, but he doesn't lose places as Benneteau and Monfils drop behind him.

Also losing ground as the week begins are: Lee, Rochus, Mirnyi, Hernandez, Stepanek and Lapentti

Bethan will be along witha what- if (at least for the early rounds) shortly!

What if...

...Tim were to lose in round 1?
He'd have 620 points. He could be overtaken by:
Simon(out in rd1), Starace(rd1), Del Potro (rd1), Mirnyi(rd1),
Garcia-Lopez(rd2), Grosjean (rd2), Spadea(rd2), Russell (rd2), Delic(rd2),
(out in rd3 for the next lot) Herandez, Koubek, Vliegen, Lopez, Stepanek, Lapentti, Bolelli, Monfils, Querrey, Gabashvilli, Tipsarevic, Johansson, Serra, Horna, Pless, Gulbis.
(out in rd4) Llodra, Roitman, Kendrick, Devilder, Kunitsyn, Hernych, Ramirez-Hidalgo, Karlovic, Hartfield, Vassallo-Arguello, Eschauer, Navarro-Pastor, Seppi, Berlocq, Peya, Guccione, Gaudio, Mahut, Lu, Cillic
(out in qf) Dlouhy, Bracciali, Udomchoke, Capdeville, Andreev, Luczak, Patience, Falla, Hajek, Brzezicki, Di Mauro, Economidis, Roger-Vasselin, Galvani, Montcourt, Gimelstob, Ascione, Daniel, Pashanski, Ram, Haehnel, Fognini, Ulihrach, C Rochus, Vemic.
(out in sf) Minar, Levy, Cipolla, Recourderc and all the wildcards/qualifiers ranked below 300.
So it's not looking great.
Best case: 53
Worst case: a lot less. (I'll fill this in if and only if Tim goes out round 1)

...Tim were to lose in round 2?
He'd have 650 points and could overtake Montanes, Massu and Santoro is they all went out in rd1. He could be overtaken by everyone still.
Best case: 50
worst case: again coming when the draw has cleared a bit.

I think todays threats include everyone as the French organisers struggle to get round 1 finished! (who thinks they're foolish to keep the start time at 11am, moving it back even half an hour could make a huge difference).

I'll update after Tim plays this afternoon

Tim is knocked out cry.gif, but his ranking is unscathed: Mirnyi, Del Potro, Benneteau, Spadea, Grosjean, Russell, Delic and Lopez  are knocked out. smile.gif

However, Koubek, Vliegen, Stepanek, Lapentti, Bolelli and Monfils  advance, while Garcia- Lopez and Hernandez complete their matches tomorrow.

the list is getting smaller. Biggest threat is Garcia-Lopez who is only one match away from overtaking. He plays Brzezicki tomorrow.

Garcia- Lopez was knocked out (meaning Boggo got knocked back a place cry.gif) So Tim's invisible "MI" force- field stays in place.
