Well, as the qualifiying tournament hots up and tennis players from all over the world converge on Paris we know it's time for another of the highest calibre tournaments in the tennis calendar. Yes, it is time once again for BT.net to take on AM.com in The Pick 'Em.
Will AM.com win and draw level in the head2head? Will Akenhaten enter and go for the Grand Slam after his victory in Australia? Will the winner of the individual be from the losing team yet again? Will Sheddie risk his comfort and offer to live in a shed again? All these questions and more will be answered over the next fortnight.
Timetable of events:
Friday: draw released Early Friday evening: spreadsheet (minus qualifiers) available for download Saturday: final qualies round played and qualifiers added to draw Early Saturday evening: spreadsheet (with qualifiers) added. Sunday morning at 7am: All entries MUST be in (i won't be as willing as last time to accept late entries so make sure you get them in.) Sunday morning 9am: let the fun begin.

I assume most of you will wait until the qualifiers are placed tomorrow afternoon before downloading the final version and putting your picks in (even if you've already decided who to pick for most of the matches) but I'd be grateful if a couple of you could have a go with this one just to test it so that if anything is wrong, I can correct it before uploading the final entry sheet tomorrow. Please report any errors here by noon on Saturday if possible!
Teams are almost certainly going to be unlimited and averages used so if you want to represent this site, please put BT as your team.
Entries close at 7 in the MORNING on Sunday, since play starts that day.

It's taken me about 2 hours to get freewebs to deign to upload the entry sheet with qualifiers added without corrupting the file in the process but finally it's there. So: You can now download the final entry sheet by going through
Please remember that the main draw starts on Sunday at Roland Garros, so entries need to be in by 7 in the morning UK time.
Nobody reported any errors in the original sheet, so I'm guessing that nobody tested it because I tried and it was impossible to make the winner of the Final pick without unprotecting the worksheet! That's been corrected now.
For the Wimby pick 'em, I am hoping to introduce a web-based entry system that will mean that people no longer need to have Excel (or email their picks to someone who does) and which will auto-generate an email to Bethan when you press the submit button so that you no longer need to attach the sheet to an email and send it off.
If there's any chance that this will happen, then I'm going to need to test it on some of French Open Pick 'Em entrants' data, so I'll be looking for volunteers to input their "1"s again on the new system when it's ready for testing. If you would be willing to do that, please don't delete your entry sheet after you send it to Bethan!
Good luck everyone, let's show the AM crowd that last time was a one-off fluke.
