to clarify above, bloomers breaking the trend of only boggo making the 2nd rd in qulaies.

He got to round last year as well didn't he?

Needs to beat Gil to improve his points tally if that's the case.

Gil will be tricky but I wouldn't say he was particularly better than Schukin!

Gil is better than Schukin (in my opinion). Gil will be a top 50 player at some point, but he needs to stop choking when he gets into a winning situation, with gives Boggo a chance

lol, thanks for clarifying Count.

How far did Boggo get last year? Did he make the second round or go out in teh first? I don't remember.

Hopefully this result gives Alex the belief in himself he seems to have been missing the past few weeks.

how do they work the final round LL spots? the seeded players get priority or is it all in a hat?

al went out in the 2nd round to some really low ranked guy after leading in the 3rd if i rmeber right, shedboy will probably remeber better.

Top 4 ranked players go into a hat, and are drawn out randomnly to determine who the LL's are

If there are more than 4 LL's, then it is done solely by ranking


Boggo is currently the 7th highest ranked player in the draw (Dancevic and Sanguinetti lost)

He lost to Marcel Charpentier in the 2nd round (i think he was using a PR)

He was 5-2 up in the 3rd set, and lost 7-5

That's 3 years in a row Alex has made it to round 2, which is a considerable improvement on the previous 10 years when only 1 player won a round in the French Open qualies (Martin Lee - 2001 I think)

Vemic just won out on court 15 so bloomers should start in 20-30 mins.
