Myles still has a huge amount to prove...he's got his pts so far in relatively weak futures..the win over Avelan has been his only real win of note...however, it's good to see him progressing up the rankings...he made quarters of Wimbledon juniors in 2005 so evidently has considerable talent
LOL thanks Rob, you're too kind! Apologies for the month's break everyone, I've completely caught up now and posted the weeks I missed into the archive.
Unfortunately, Morgan's 12 points for winning the Napoli Future come off at the end of this week, as you can see from the table. He won't actually drop that far down the GB rankings though, which kind of shows how bad things are at the moment. Arka wrote: "Quarters??? He lost to Monfils in the final."
My oh my, it's like the blind leading the blind here. (with apologies to blind people) Firstly, Arka - sheddie was talking about Myles, not Miles but he got it wrong anyway - Myles went out to another top French junior, Jeremy Chardy, not Monfils, and in the L16, not the QFs. Sheddie is clearly training to be a journalist on the "Baghdatis lost in the Wimbledon Final" Herald.
I agree that Myles is one of our handful of players showing any serious potential at the moment.
Miles, on the other hand, should hit a new career high when his Syros points go on next Monday.
I've just realised that no Brits can score any more immediate points this week - they're all playing Futures or RG qualifying, so the earliest any points they score this week can go on the rankings is in just under 3 weeks time.

Perhaps Myles Blake joins Morgan, Ward and Kasiri in our "most likely to progress to challengers" stakes.
Maybe, but he's also now joined Morgan and Miles on an even longer list - the injury list (*) ... together with Andy, Bammy, Kennaugh, Flan and possibly David Brewer. Let's not forget about the four players in the top 25 who've retired too!
(*) Myles was one of five players to w/d from the Algiers Future before R1 today - hopefully that means it's something like mass food poisoning rather than injury.
