Surbiton Trophy 2007.

Kunitsyn wins doubles so will withdraw...remember the draw is tomorrow and I don't believe you can be in draw if you are still playing in another tournament

Baker must have got a direct entry.

My guesses are - Marray, Rushby, Kasiri, Childs.

Yeah it must be those 4...unless Kasiri is still injured and someone else has got one....but who would that be ?

Hmmm, looking at that draw I'd be surprised if we get any qualifiers....best chance is the bottom quarter...will be an interesting clash between the two doubles specialists, Jamie M and Jamie D in rd2...I'd have to give the edge to Delgy in that one for having the better baseline game but on fast grass it'll be v close. Unfortunately Qureshi is pretty decent on grass

Niemeyer has been on fire this year...I think Aucks will make the final qualies round but I can't see him getting past the Canadian...

If Kasiri is injured, who knows! Ed Corrie? Simon Childs? Pauffley? Kennaugh making a comeback?

Childs is a possibility as he has a big serve but none of those guys are ready/or have done anything to deserve a challenger wc given how strong Surbiton is...

Kennaugh is still badly injured...he'll be out for a similar length of time to Morgan

That's true, but you have to give the wild card to somebody!!

Shame about Kennaugh. cry.gif

Off the topic, but how do you pronounce 'Kennaugh'? confused.gif

i think it should be "Ken-ner". Though with my (C.ockney) accent it comes out "Kenna"

I've also heard it pronounced "Ken-yak/Kennak"

From the LTA :

Main draw WC

Rushby, Marray, Childs & Baker. If Baker got in direct then that would free another WC spot.

There has been quite a lot of withdrawals due to players still being in France so Baker will more than likely make it direct.
