Mahut and Kunitsyn are still involved in doubles in Paris (although Kunitsyn plays Aucks today!) so more withdrawals possible...I imagine Josh won't need a Wild Card
Thanks for the promised scores seagull There were live scores for Surbiton back in 2004 but since then they've beens scrapped...absolutely no idea why...
Arka, why do u keep wondering whether Jamie Murray will get singles wcs ??? You suggested him in the Wimbledon thread and now for a Surbiton wc...it's bizarre as the guy has said he's given up singles completely now, just concentrating on the doubles...it's be a waste of a wc...they should go to Goodall, Baker and Marray + Kasiri if fit...if not fit then give one to James Ward
I agree with Tiger, no idea why they're making Jonny wait on that one....it'll be crazy if a foreigner gets any of these wcs...bad enough with the ATPs
Obviously I don't want Jamie to get a wild card here. Wimbledon is a different story...
Butorac said that Jamie may play singles at Surbiton. He is possibly speaking about qualies, but since wild cards are often handed out during qualies sign in, it's possible that Jamie will be given one ahead of Kasiri.
I want Rushby to get one if Goodall gets in. Or Willis.
you could just rock up and get in...no queuing required...
if you go for qualies (Saturday-Monday, womens start on Sat, mens start on Sun) it's free..
which days u thinking of going ?
Thanks. Well I could get there in about 30-40 mins from my work, so I was thinking maybe popping along late afternoon Mon-Fri. There should still be some matches being played at that time (5:30) surely?
Hopefully Goodall will get in, as that leaves another WC for another Brit to take... ideally Baker and Marray would sneak in as well, but that probably won't happen
Auckland has to be another contender for the WC I guess, as with him out of the French Open, he will probably be playing doubles here, and may want to play some singles on the grass to get a feel for the surface again
Rushby, Flanagan, Kasiri and Ward will all probably be looking for the WC as well, and maybe even Jamie Murray by the sounds of things, so it will be very interesting to see who actually gets them in the end
