ah thats a shame, still beating boggo and getting a set off a top 100 grass player means he has had a decent run.

Hopefully with a kind draw (and a back rest) he can win a match or 2 at queens.

We may have lost the last Brit in the men's singles today, but what about the last Brit in the doubles?  Anyone know how Aucks & Huss got on?  Tomorrow's OoP is up on the Surbiton site, but there's no sign of the outcome of the doubles SFs...! cry furious

's OK, I can answer my own question:  they saw off Bozo & Kendrick in three sets, 6-7(2) 7-6(5) 10-5.  thumbsup.gif  They obviously took a while to get into their stride...wink  So, an interesting final in prospect against the [Russian émigré] qualifiers, Alex Kuznetsov (US) & Mischa Zverev (GER), who dumped out the fourth seeds, Bopanna & Haggard, 3-6 6-3 11-9. Let's hope we can salvage something from this first week of the grass court season...! pray.gif

So when is the doubles final then? Not on the OOP for tomorrow

Pass!  I confess I wondered that myself when I saw that it wasn't on today's OoP. confused.gif  The tournament doesn't finish until tomorrow, however, & I'm guessing, but how about before or after the men's singles final?  Two finals in one day would be a good way of giving the paying public (I assume entry is not free?) a bit more value for money... lightbulb.gif  wink

Tsonga beat Goodall 6-1 3-6 6-3, went to Surbiton and beat Guccione in 3 sets inc TB 3rd set 5-7 6-4 7-6(2), then returned to Queens and beat  Rushby 6-1 6-1.
Sunday he plays Bastl in quali round at Queens 10.30am then to Surbiton to play Ivo Karlovic at 2.30pm - So quite a relaxed day compared to Saturday  biggrin If anyone deserves to qualify surely it is Tsonga. Just imagine the complaints if it was a British player having to play 5 important matches in 2 days!

thats phenomenal stuff from tsonga!
7 sets in one day and looks like he was barely troubled at all in his last game!

this player clearly has talent and i'm sure it will not be long until he's an atp regular

Think you can make that 8 sets, not 7

Wow!

I really hope that he wins both his matches and then wins a round or two at Queen's.

Aucks/Huss lost the final 6-2 3-6 (6-10) cry

Shame after a promising start.
Still a good week for the Brit/Aussie combo.

Tsonga won the singles title.
