Childs lost the 3rd set tiebreak 7-2, but apparently played great!

Ah that's a shame - did well to get so close. Seems to be case with British players of getting so close

Why not? I'm rather torn myself. I like both of them.

Real shame about Childs, that one was desperately close....

Hopefully Baker and Boggo can make quarters. I'm supporting Boggo as I run his official site and exchange emails with him fairly regularly. I think he's also got the potential to go further here, if Bloomers wins I don't think he's got the game to beat Gucci on grass

May lost 6-4 6-4, and Boggo is still on serve in the 2nd!

i want both boggo and bloomers to win, in an odd way, which is why was disappointed for them to meet so soon! want boggo to get closer to top 100, and bloomers just to move up the rankings further!

really jsut hope for once boggo can get a decent draw at SW19

furious.gif That's a poor result from Alex, v surprised he lost in straights...was a decent chance to go deep here

Grass at Surbiton is very fast...more like how Queens and Wimbledon used to be before they were slowed down...guess Richard just served him off the court.

All credit to Rich tho must have played a great match and good to see him progressing in a challenger again

wow, that was poor by alex. losing a double break on grass in the 1st, then losing it away when it got tight in the 2nd!
His head isnt in the right place at the moment i think. and i cant see him doing much on the grass season this year.

No offence to bloomers, i am sure he played well but boggo should have done better, considering the people he has beaten on grass in the past.
