Saw the first 5 games of this match. He was out to have fun and hit a few balls, but it was clear early on that the Australians were a practised doubles partnership, whereas Roddick and Ginepri were not. Excellent to see him at this tournament though - the centre court was almost full which is quite rare for challengers in the UK!
Full GB R1 results all in one post - I think the Corrie loss may have got missed on here:

Given that they are only a year apart in age and have both been playing Challengers for a while, it is amazing that this will be the first time Boggo and Bloomers have faced each other for 5 years! Boggo won on clay in a junior tournament in Leiria in 2000 by retirement but Bloomers won their only senior meeting in straight sets on his way to winning the Glasgow Future in 2002.
There is one other Brit in each quarter, but they all have uphill battles on their hands, with Jamie looking to have the best chance against clay-courter Giraldo, who did not exactly thrash Tom Rushby in R1 as might have been expected given the rankings gap.
Having survived the frying pan, Jim could be forgiven for thinking he's been thrown into the fire when he mets the very under-ranked Tsonga - Bloomers is the only Brit to have taken a set off him in the last 2 years, and quite a few have tried! In fact, this is Tsonga's first tournament on grass since 2004, but back then he won the post-Wimby Nottingham Challenger on grass as a qualifier without losing a set, beating Flan, Bloomers, Jonny, Andy Murray, Mark Hilton and Boggo on the way!
Finally, it's great to see Lee returning to form, but big Ivo is probably a bridge too far! However, Stadler did take a set off him in R1.
On Thursday, Lee is 2nd on Court A at about 12.30 BST, followed by Jim then Jamie, while the all-GB match is 4th on Court B at about 15.30 BST.

Johnnylad, where are you now! The Childmaestro must have read your comments and upped his game in recent weeks. Take this decider Lee!

As an aside, Jamie Delgado will break the top 100 in doubles this week - check out the new thread in the rankings section.
These kind of things seem to have a habit of happening this year when the player's not playing or gets KOd in R1! Great news though, a lifetime's ambition fulfilled
