if that was the case, then she probably would have played 2 matches today, meaning that the 1st rd should have been completed by now.

Baltacha through to the quarters.... won 6-2,6-1 in the first round.. then beat TONGSALEE, Napaporn (THA) 4 , 6-3, 6-2

She face a fellow qualifier in the quarters, KULIKOVA, Regina (RUS) ranked 359...

Sad news for sarah borwell though... retired in the 2nd set 6-4, 1-0 retired!

Natasha Khan lost 5-7, 3-6 to KIM, Jin-Hee

Regina Kulikova....she won the title in the first week of this 3 week Korean tour. I'm imagining she'll be tough to beat but hopefully Bally can do it

I think if you had offered Bally 2 SF and a QF three weeks ago she'd have taken them with a big smile.

She's had to do qualies for them all, and only relied on one bit of luck (the LL spot last week).

Her workload has been fantastic, and she'll come away with a 16-4 or better record, well back in the top 500, with a gain of at least 33 ranking points from the three weeks.

Here's hoping for continued form in what is a hard QF.

Does she have any more tournaments lined up in the next couple of weeks?

Q KULIKOVA, Regina (RUS) beat Q BALTACHA, Elena (GB) by walkover.

... hope theres nothing too wrong there,, would be very disappointing if she picked up an injury after doing so well over the last few weeks!
