Week 19 - AMS Rome : Andy Murray v Gilles Simon

So Andy plays WR60 Gilles Simon of France.

He best Soderling and Bagdahtis on the way to winning his only ATP title in Marseille last year. He did get a retirement on the way v Hewitt but he won the 1st set 6-1 ! He also won his QF, SF and the final in 3rd set tie breaks !!!

So no mug and a tester for Murray.

Murray in 3 for me.

You have lectures on a Bank Holiday? That's not fair!

yeah, bank holidays don't exist at York university. i feel more sorry for the professors though as they don't even get paid overtime for it.

Starts after 4.00pm Rome time.  What's that in BST.

I think it's illegal to force someone to work on a Bank Holiday?  Unless their union waved that for an extra 0.1% payrise!!!  *LOL*

Still look at all the looonnnggg holidat students get in the summer !  (The ones who don't have to study for resits !)

My guess Andy will win baring disasters etc.....

Should be about 3pm, Tim, as per Drew's post above.

Seems to me Bank Holidays are a dying breed, look at all the poor shop workers who have to work them now.

I confess I'm not confident here (Mrs Pessimism again!). Will Andy be rusty? Will his back hold up? Or will he be fresh and raring to go?

Even if he wins, Canas almost certainly in the next round. . .angered.gif

Many thanks on the time.  I'm casting round for a 'Livescore' that works.

seems OK with clcking on 'Foro Italica Live' middle toppish left hand side of the screen.

Henman may or may not win first set at the moment.

Going to be about 20-30 minutes until it starts. Looking like a champions tiebreak in this doubles...

Grrr. Masters TV "Live" - has Andy scheduled AFTER the Hewitt match on the main court; but that is only early in the second set. I suppose they will show the entire match after the Hewitt match is finished, but that means it will not be live.

Now, do I follow the scoreboard until they start showing the match - in which case I will probably know the result of the first set??? Can I possibly resist following the SB until I can watch the match? (doubt it laughing.gif)

Hurry up, Lleyton, and win before Andy has finished warming up!
