Typical A-Bog, has a good couple of weeks and just throws it away. Poor performance, im really starting to lose patience with him

Well, let's take the positives from this -

1) He spent around 2 and a half hours playing a match. He will surely benefit from this as this has been a surface which he has totally neglected in the last year and a half.

2) No points to defend this week next year. w00t.gif

I think that that is a bit harsh. This is just his second clay event since May 2005 and he was playing someone who is at his best on this surface.

well it was his 1st match on clay for a year (and last year only 2 matches played on clay), with no real training b4 etc, what did you expect? he put up a good fight, cant ask for ore than that? he didnt give up, he kept tryingright till the end?

lets face it out of him, tim and andy he came closest to winning.

hopefully he will have learnt from this match, can move on to prague in better shape, but more importantly get ready for the RGQ, thats where he will want a performance.

How can u take positives from losing against a player he should have beat, no ranking climb when he could have mounted a charge to top 100, theres no point in needlessly defending him. I'm sure boggo will regard ths match a missed oppurtunity, Im a big boggo dan but theres no point ignoring the truth. If he doesn't become more consistent hes never going to make top 100

I think that's a little harsh. Clay is far and away Boggo's worst surface and Mertl's best. Whilst it was disappointing to see Alex lose such a close match the fact that it was close is encouraging, as is his choice of putting himself out there on the clay when there are plenty of other challengers this week. Hopefully with a good draw in Zagreb (another clay challenger) he can win a couple of rounds and take it from there.

Then are you going to say that Andy will never get to the top 5 because he can't beat guys like Lisnard and Simon? confused.gif

Look at the players tim and andy played, much better then Greuls opponent.
And whos fault is that he hasn't trained, he was knocked out Lanzorote ages ago and he only travelled yesterday??? whats that all about???
