another main draw reached! w00t.gif

Naomi will surely hit top 250 with another couple of wins this week!

I'd like to see LTA arrange a WC for RG main draw in return for one of the inevitable ones Wimbledon will give to a French player!

Naomi plays Madison Brengle in rd1 furious.gif

They're friends on the tour, played in March and Madison won in 3 sets. Naomi said "She's a runner but can step it up and be aggressive aswell. It will be harder for me to finish the points off on this surface with the sliding and the pace but my heavy rallying ball will be effective."

The LTA really want to do that tbh....they want to trade wcs and the Aussies are keen on doing so, the LTA have been trying to trade for years but the problem is Wimbledon. Wimbledon won't do it any more because of what happened with Bally in Aussie Open 2003. She got a wc via trading that year but lost in rd1 to Alexandra Stevenson. However, after the match Bally said that she'd have done better if she hadn't have been injured and so Wimbledon got pissed off and now refuse to trade

Thats just stupid though. Wimbledon give 2/3 WC's to non brits now so we might aswell get something back for it.

Was a great win, she was leading 6-4, 4-2 but Brengle battled back. Naomi came thru 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 in the end !
