Bloomfield isn't playing much this year. confused.gif
Just ten tournaments so far, compared to fifteen for Boggo (counting Lanzarote).

I think he may be taking the odd week off to work on his game every now and then with guys like Lundgren.

He's missed 2 weeks through DC and missing the cut in Adelaide at the start of the year. Plus also this two week April training block

not bad for boggo, he beat smeets comfy in valenica 63 62, when he says he want playing well. Q or tourte in the 2nd round too. okun in the qf's, hmm, maybe a chnace to get a monkey of his back?. De Voest in the semis would be the most likey line up. hard to call that one.

jonney, him not a bad draw to get a win, a knakcred, jet lagged boggo disposed of vacek easily the other week, but a 2nd rd v mahut wont be pretty.

i think jamie might be catching a early flight home to be honest. excluding cardiff tosonga on fire atm. its been tough for jamie recnetly, but thats the way it is sometimes and hopfeully he can learn from it.

goodall with a Q cant call, dudi sela 2nd round could go either way i think sela is a bit inconistent. rik de voest QF. cant see josh going further.

Hard not to agree with the Count's expert analysis.

Boggo should reach the quarters and defend his pts with no problem...he's in a different class to the likes of Smeets, outclassed him recently. Okun in the quarters isn't good tho, don't really want to look any further than that (tho if we do, De Voest has a 3-0 winning record v Boggo). Lets hope that Lugassy/Baccanello can take him Okun in rd2...Boggo is better than Okun but he's had those 2 big losses to him and that will probably play a part especially if it's close. Hopefully Lundgren can get him fired up and in the right frame of mind for this one, having him there should help a lot.

If Jonny's able to go flat out with his shoulder, he should take Vacek on fast hard. Vacek's been doing well in futures but now appears out of his depth at challenger level, nothing like the force he once was. Will be interesting to see how rusty Jonny is. I think he could beat Mahut in rd2, Henman completely bamboozled Mahut 1 and 2 in Vegas earlier this year, net rushing everything which is exactly what Jonny will do.....Mahut's been v up and down this year, beat Ljubicic, Serra, Safin but lost to Karanusic, Gicquel, Giraldo !

I think the Baker boy could be packing his bags early this week too cry.gif  He had that brilliant run of results from end of Jan till mid March: challenger final and semi plus winning a 15K..but his form seems to have tailed off post-DC though he's had some nasty draws. Tsonga really should  be top 75 the way he's playing, been blowing everyone aside in past 2 months. Crazy that he's only 161.

Goodall has the geezer who took out May in qualies...Josh should win that.

Disappointing that the pair who won the doubles are the least concerned with their doubles results!

Tomorrow's singles action.

Marray vs Vacek is up first on Court 2@ noon - Lanzarote

Baker vs Tsonga third on court 1

Boggo vs Smeets third on court 2

Josh vs Sanchez is after Jamie B!

Boggo won 6-4, 7-6 clap.gifclap.gifw00t.gif

He said it was a tough match, very windy out there and courts are playing slow this year

Go Boggo!!!!, He has to defend qauters?
Well i would have said yes but if they are slow it makes it more difficult i guess?

Lanzarote was a week earlier last year, so he's already lost the points he was defending. No points to defend, just a top 105 ranking to achieve.
