well unlucky for the girls!! but what happens now do they not play again for another year or drop down a group exc.???????? hopefully next year it will be alot different with experience cavaday and stoop crowding the field
And Paszek definitely has a lot of power. Nowhere near top 5 players now, but give her till the end of the year and she'll get there. I personally think that she can beat top 10 players when she's having a good day, but I can't prove it till she does.
true...I somehow got her mixed up with a pic of Julia Goerges which was on my computer at that time
But Arks, these statements are ridiculous, she's nowhere near beating top 20 players regularly at the moment and she will be nowhere near beating top 10 players by the end of the year....I can't see her beating any of those girls atm, she needs to get a lot fitter and develop more nous in her game.
Look at the stats: she had a great win over Srebotnik in Dubai which was v impressive as Srebotnik's ranked 21 and she also hammered Bremond (no 37) at the Aussie Open, but against Zvonereva and Li who are just inside top 20 she got hammered. I think she will beat top 10 players in the future, obviously but it will take a while to develop her game enough to beat players at that level ...there's a huge gulf between the top 16-20 and players ranked 25-50....I do think Paszek will be top 30 by the end of the year
Hopefully But I doubt it I dunno why we didn't apply this year...it's been in Bulgaria for the last few years, ever since I started following the GB Fed Cup team...would be surprised if it isn't the same next year
We badly need some kind country to come along and get it off the clay !
I hope that it'll be Cavaday and Stoop next year, that could be a problem though if it's still on clay because that's by far Stoop's worst surface
