Top British junior Dan Evans is soaking up every ounce of his experience as hitter with the Great Britain Davis Cup squad.
Evans, the British 18-and-under No.1, was invited by captain John Lloyd to join his squad of Andy Murray, Tim Henman, Greg Rusedski, Jamie Murray, Jamie Baker and Richard Bloomfield for the tie agianst the Netherlands at the NEC in Birmingham from 6-8 April.
A whirlwind week has seen 16-year-old Evans hit with the country's best players at the newly opened National Tennis Centre in Roehampton, meet the Queen when she officially opened the facility last Thursday and travel and train with the squad in the run-up to the tie which begins on Friday.
Local lad Evans - who grew up in Birmingham and played his tennis as a youngster at the West Warwicks Tennis Club - had just returned from a seven-week tour of South America when he was given news of his Davis Cup invitation.
"I came home early from South America expecting to play a Futures event in Bath when I got the call to join the Davis Cup team," said Evans, who has a current junior world ranking of No.24.
