Still, a Murray is on court. It's NEVER that simple.
Break right away please.
I'm still confident they'll pull through this one in straights, doesn't look as if it'll be as straightforward as it appeared 5min ago though. Even so, they're still doing excellently so far given it's first match on clay !

I still hold that I'm more realistic than pessimistic though
And I haven't been anything but optimistic about Jamie Murray's progress since July
Both pairs holding really easily atm, tiebreak looks likely atm. 5th seeds may have a slight advantage as they're serving first, more pressure on Booty and Muz

They're still doing very well.
I'd like a break here though if possible.
Yeah, quite a change in surface. That court in Birmingham was really fast. Kohlmann was competing on clay in Belgium so he and Lindstedt definately had the advantage in preparation going into this one.
Anyone watching any of the Valencia tourney in the past ? What's the speed of the clay like compared to tourneys like Monte Carlo and Barcelona ?
I watched some from Valencia last year on Eurosport.
I thought the conditions were a little slower because it's not quite as warm this early in April.
Also last year at times it was breezy which led to some of the topsurface gathering in clumps and causing variation in the bounce. I remember Safin saying "****ty court, man" to the umpire. Of course they could have improved it for this year.
