QR1: David Sutton UNR lost to Ahmed el Tabakh (CAN) UNR by 0 & 1 cry

QR2: (q6) Amadeus Fulford-Jones WR 1147 v (Alt) Alex Rafiee (USA)


Rafiee is playing in his first tournament and only got in at the last minute when Vargas pulled out, but he did hand out a double breadstick to Ramski in QR1.


QR2 will be played on Sunday.

I say that and he did make the main draw! But unconventionally.

He was thrashed 6-2 6-0 by Ma Rong in final qualies round but he is a lucky loser!

Fulford-Jones vs (769) Obradovic of Serbia.

Myles Blake (803) drew 4th seed Izak Van dEr MErwe of South Africa (436)

In the unlikely event of both of them winning they will face each other in R2.

(For those who are eagle eyed and may get confused - ATP sheet still has Elias in Mozart's spot but itf has updated it.)

Federer indirectly helped Mozart!

Gastão Elias is out of the tournment. The reason : Roger Federer invited him to be his partner while he practices for Monte Carlo and Rome
I believe this is much better than winning one or two futures.....

It looks like most of yesterday was rained off. The OoP says that both the matches we're interested in are 'to finish', but unusually doesn't say what the scores were when play stopped for the day.

Yeah, its a pity Myles couldn't push him a bit harder.

He'll have to qualify next week as well. THis week as a DA was a good chance, but his bum draw didn't help
