From Josh to Alan: Live Rankings Week 14

The new table is posted here (on Britishtennis.net)

Josh plays in GB F8 in Bath. He's defending 6 points from 2006, so starts the week by dropping back 2 places to 222. Alan's at the big- points Futures in France. He's also defending 5 points from 2006, and drops 3 places to 267.. Jamie and Greg are at the Davis Cup. Jonnie's still out injured.

Jamie climbs 3 to 239, as Ungur, Calatrava and Vagnozzi drop back on defended points; Jonnie climbs four to 252 (Vagnozzi, Niemayer, Burgsmuller, Stoppini). Greg clings onto his place at the bottom of the table.

Today in Monza, Cipolla plays Crugnola; Vagnozzi plays Navarro- Pastor, and overtakes Jonny if he wins. In Tallahassee, Tourte plays Levy; Witten plays Salzenstein; Lindahl plays Oudsema, and overtakes Alan if he wins . In St Luis Potozi, Salamanca plays Guzman;

Josh withdrew from Bath


Vagnozzi and Mayer won in Monza and SLP respectively. Both overtake Jonny :furiou: Jonnie drops to 254.

Lindahl won in Tallahassee, and overtakes Alan Alan drops to 268

Also in Monza, Cipolla beat Crugnola and advances. In Tallahassee, Tourte advances; Witten won; Oudsema  lost. In St Luis Potozi, Salamanca lost In Angers, Ionita, Vacek and Sirianni lost

Alan plays his first round match against Uriate today in Angiers.

Today in SLP, Jamie's #1 threat, Cakl plays Alan's # 1 threat Chardy. Whichever one wins, overtakes Jamie's #2 threat Dabul plays Boggo target Giraldo, and overtakes if he wins

In Tallahassee, Jonnie's top threat, Baccanello  plays Vico, and overtakes should he win .

Alan wins. He won't advance unless he reaches the quarters.

A bad day for Jamie's ranking: Cakl  overtakes in SLP, and Simmonds overtakes in Tallahassee Jamie down to 241. Dabul is knocked out in SLP, Ungur in Monza

In Tallahassee,  Baccanello  overtakes Jonnie Jonnie down to 255. Stoppini also advances, as does Zeballos in SLP. Burgsmuller is knocked out.

Chardy is knocked out behind Alan. Smeets and Lammer advance.


Today, Alan plays Ouanna in Angers. He overtakes Prpic, Villagran and Motomura if he wins, and could overtake a losing Lindahl.

Josh threat #1 Cipolla plays Di Mauro in Monza, overtaking with a win. #2, Tourte will draw level on points if he beats Warburg in Tallahassee.

It could be another bad day for Jamie : threat #1, Vagnozzi plays Ventura in Monza #2, Baccanello plays Ram in Tallahassee, #3, Mayer plays Lammer in SLP, #4, Witten plays Odesnik in Talahassee. ALL FOUR overtake if they win

Not much better for Jonny: threat #1, Stoppini plays De Voest in Tallahassee, #2, Zeballos plays Aguilar in SLP. Both overtake if they win. #3, Lindahl plays Sanguinetti in Tallahassee.

If Alan, loses, then Smeets could overtake if he beats Carlsen in Tallahassee.

Not worried about Jamie. He'll get the places back, but with Josh in the form he's in this slide down the rankings could go on and on

Alan is knocked out

Josh threat #1 Cipolla lost :smile, but #2, Tourte won and draws level on points .

Jamie threats Baccanello Mayer and Witten  all lost and don't overtake.  #1 threat Vagnozzi's match with Ventura was rained off in Monza.

Jonny threat #2, Zeballos won and overtakes Jonny down to 256 . #1 threat Stoppini and #3 Lindahl both lost

Alan threat Smeets also lost



Today, Tourte can overtake Josh by beating Sanguinetti in Tallahassee
Lammer can overtake Alan if he beats Alvarez in SLP.
Snobel plays in Bath, Motomura in Japan

Zeballos wins and overtakes Jamie Jamie down to 242

Tourte lost, so Josh survives another day. Snobel draws level on points with Jamie.


Today, Zeballos overtakes Josh if he beats Vicente in the SLP semis.
Snobel overtakes Jamie if he beats Beck in the Bath semis
Lammer overtakes Jonnie and Jamie if he beats Giraldo in the SLP semis
Motomura  plays Doerna in Japan

Today, Zeballos, Snobel and Lammer  all lost :biggrin. Motomura  advanced, and is the only remaining threat to Jonny.  Jamie, Josh and Alan are now safe

Motomura  now plays Kondo in the Japan F3 semi- final. He needs to win the tournament to overtake Jonny.

Motomura  won the Japan Futures and overtakes Jonny Jonny down to 257

That's it for this week. Josh is down 2 on the week, Jamie is level, Jonnie down one and Alan down 5.
