Unfortunately I know nothing about Aisan tennis.

Does Simon have a relatively good chance of qualifying here??

Simon's first opponent doesn't even appear to have a profile on ITF. What surface is this being played on? If it's fast, I think Simon has a chance against most players at this level.

Round 2.

(12)Simon Childs (GBR) d. Kai-Lung Chang (TPE) 0-6 6-3 6-2

Fell apart in the first set but recovered well!

Aussie Scott Doerner next up.

Simon is the only remaining seed in his section now! Which is nice

Great to see Simon come back from that first set score. That should really build his confidence and hopefully carry him through to the main draw, especially as he's the last seed in his section.

That's a disappointing loss for Simon after those encouraging series of results down under. However, it's quite a surface change !!! Hopefully he will have been able to adjust by next week, he did well to fight back in his rd2 qualies match but to be pushed that close by an unranked Taiwanese player showed that he was struggling.

Slabba joins Simon for next week's 10K in the land of the rising sun
