Hewitt withdraws from Miami

Lower back issue that he sustained against Tipsarevic in IW apparently.

On paper that eases Andy's draw a little bit - I'm not sure Hewitt would have been a major problem but it does mean we don't have to find out now.

Kendrick takes his place as LL so it will be either Kendrick or Sluiter in R3.

Hopefully it will be Kendrick, just with DC in mind. Plus Andy has double bagelled Kendrick and beat him another time so it should be an easier match for him with any luck if he gets past Goldstein.

surely it would be betetr to be sluiter, so andy gets a match against him. probably andy/sluiter wont get to play dc anyway, as it would be final rubber probably.

Oh no! Lleyton just can't play for a few straight weeks these days.

Started the clock too early in his career. I just think that when you start that young that your body breaks down that bit quicker. That's why I think Nadal has got maybe 2 or 3 years left as a really top, elite player.

I'm worried the same thing will happen to Andy

Yup, especially with the serious injury he had early in his career and the weakness in his ankle. Hopefully he'll continue to fill out a bit and hopefully that will help him out as well though.
