no big shocks really.

well done to Rich on getting his 1st call up.

Lets hope both him and Jamie get a dead rubber. I wonder if Greg would want one? maybe only if he hadnt already played.

Its a strong lineup and am confident we will win this

James Auckland would also be unlikely to play with Jamie Murray as they prefer to play the same side, so there would be no real advantage in including him.

Let's be honest, GB is not so strong squad. Only Murray is in form. You don't know what to expect from Henman, Rusedski's game is much worse. I saw both Sluiter and Haase against Czech last year and have to say they play really well. Novak was very lucky to beat Sluiter in four sets. Haase stunned Hernych (beat Tim at Indy) pretty easily. But Berdych was in great shape and his serve was outstanding. I'm not so optimistic.

Interesting.  I though Jamie Baker said he would only be part of the team if he was guaranteed a live match?  It looks doubtful with this line-up (unless of course both Tim and Greg are injured!)

but recently boggo has had some very close matches with sluiter on indoor hard courts, so i would think tim will have enough for him and andy should win us 2 rubbers, so we dont need to much else.

As part of a plan to give British junior players first-hand experience of international events 16-year-old Dan Evans, Britain’s top ranked junior, will be with the team throughout the build-up and the tie itself.

Good.

I remember seeing Andy hanging around a tie when he was still a junior. I wouldn't have known who he was at the time but the commentators mentioned him.

Glad Evans is there. To be honest Baker or Bloomers might as well be playing a challenger.

Auckland should not be there. There is no space for another doubles specialist in the team.

Good news Evans is there.....

Have to disagree totally on that.....the mans told to get into the top 100 and he will make the DC tie to play....he does that...and is not played.....continues to improve....this time not even in the squad.....if we have two top doubles specialists play them.....they both like the ad court but Jamie told me to my face he could play with James and would like to play with him sometime...so sorry Johnny....your wrong IMO.

glad its a free country

Totally agree. I would like to see Auckland in the team to play with Jamie. He has worked hard to get into the top 100 and then doesn't get included. It is all about Jamie. If these two could work well together then we could maybe get a regular doubles partnership going in Davies Cup. That is what we have not had in the past. I suspect Andy will play with Jamie and Baker and Bloomfield won't get a look in. No surprise that Boggo is not there. Lloyd does not seem to favour him much but he has improved with his results and to be honest would have been a better choice than Greg. Surely Alex has to be part of the future. There's no knowing how Tim will play now so it could be down to Andy to carry the burden just like Tim used to in the past. Anyway think we should win but need to build a team for the future without Tim and Greg
