Bryan/Bryan v Federer/Nadal

Can someone put a poll on this? Who would win?

Also, can I just point out that there has been a coming together of collective great minds (me and Arka) and we think this would be an AMAZING exhibition match. It can and MUST happen. Petition, lobby or harass the ATP. LETS GET IT ON.

think the bryan's would win fairly comfortably actually! no substitute for doubles experience and know-how at that level!

was excited for a min - thought that was the 1st round draw in miami!!

I would expect the bryan brothers to win with ease. It is sheer folly to believe that two singles players who have never played together would have a chance against one of the best doubles pair around.

Bryan brothers would win, but Federer and Nadal would probably be able to give them a decent match

The fact of this is shown by the fact Federer and Allegro, and Nadal and Lopez enter tournaments relatively often, and often only win a match or two, and that is with a regular doubles partner, so playing with someone totally new would be a problem

However, Fed and Nadal are both such amazing competitors they would give them a good game imo. They certainly wouldn't go down without a fight. I think that Fed and Nadal when they enter doubles with other partners are not really taking it seriously and just view it as a little it of match practise. I think if they played this match and took it very seriously they would have a chance.

Rafa wanted to play doubles with Fed last year (maybe at Madrid?) and Federer responded with a blunt 'I only play doubles with Yves' in response. I guess when you're as good as Fed then you have the right to be snooty about who you hook up with to play doubles but it would have been fun to have seen them play.

I think the Bryans would definitely win though - I think sometimes you see doubles players coming up against singles players and it's just obvious the differences in the game no matter how good the singles player is. It's just very different for them to not have everything in their own control on the court.

I think it was more a case of not wanting to play with the only player who knows how to beat you regularly and give them further insight into your weaknesses....
