Richard had to go to Roehampton to be presented to The Queen, together with the rest of the DC team (see pictures 4 ), then dash back to Bath for the QF match. The Queen was presented with a Racket with signatures of all the team - I wonder how they got Andy's?
I don't really think it was fair to expect Richard to do that. If it was his own choice and he asked to be there to meet the Queen then fair enough. I just hope this doesn't distract from his aim of winning the tournament this week.

Agree with John. Bit rude to be dragged to Roehampton whilst playing in a tournament in Bath!
Re: Bloomers winning the title. He should but I tihnk Snobel is in excellent form at the moment. He's a 27 year old long-haired leftie and he won Ho Chi Minh Challenger last month and made Kyoto semis beating Huta Galung (twice), Bachinger, Ryderstedt, Dustov and Knittel. (Actually Knittel was w/o).
So if Richard makes the final, and if he plays Snobel in it! It may not be a cakewalk.
