Venus was leading a set and a break at the start of the 2nd set, but Maria took it 6-2 and now leads in the decider 4-3 with a break, as type Venus got 2 BPs and....Sharapova saves 1!

Looks like a cracking match!....:Venus breaks and its all to play for in the decider! 4-4!

Looked like a cracking match between Sharapova and Venus from the scoreboard, unfortunately the PPMate, star sports coverage doesn't show any women's tennis, I was trying to find a stream which did, unfortunately the tennis channel wouldn't work.

Amazed that Venus took Sharapova so close, she was pretty rusty in her opening match. Thoughts on Sharapova - Serena anyone ? Will Maria gain revenge or will Serena hand out another drubbing ?

(this is of course assuming that Serena gets past the highly talented Lucie Safarova tonight which should be another good match)

I had Youzhny winning that ! Very surprised at the result, after his form in Jan-Feb Youzhny appears to have gone off the boil on the slower US hard in the last couple of weeks.

Did you watch the match Arks ?

I now need Rafa to beat JMDP and then Djokovic to beat Rafa in the quarters....I had Haas doing that but if Djokovic makes the semis that should scupper most people....unfortunately I don't see it happening...think Rafa will make another final here

There's an undertaker in a lot of trouble. Set and a break down to Amer Delic !!! Boggo did extremely well to beat Delic twice this year ! Delic has a massive 1st serve, Davydenko is having a lot of trouble with that and the topspin 2nd serve at the moment...he should be making more 2nd serve returns. Delic's also a quality volleyer, serve-volleys every so often. Just pretty solid from the baseline, no big weapons from the back...tees off a lot on his returns, worked in the tiebreak, he hit two crackers. Davydenko making too many uncharacteristic errors too atm
