Brozda's ranked about 200 places higher at 444. She's 20 and has been ranked in the 300s. Has played just 1 tournament this year, lost in rd2 of a 10K in Spain at the start of March.
She's had her best results on clay, reaching a 10K final and 25K quarters in 2006. Beat Sarah Coles in 3 sets last year too.
It is Neuza Silva in rd2. The Portuguese 7th seed knocked out a German qualifier 6-2, 6-3 in rd1. She's ranked over 350 places higher than Anna at 389.
They played in the 2nd qualifying round for the Sutton 25K at the end of January. Anna had chances to wrap it up in straights but ended up losing 5-7, 7-6(6), 6-3.
However, it was a match she could have quite easily won. Silva is just a solid baseliner who doesn't make many errors, works the points well. Unlike Anna, she doesn't have any big weapons, hits her backhand with very heavy slice. Anna served extremely well in the Sutton match, that is a real weapon, her forehand broke down a bit though and she made too many errors off it which cost her in the end.
The slower outdoor courts will suit both players better, though for this match it will probably be Silva who's favoured slightly more...will be tough for Anna to hit through her.
