These 3 have had a really good trip to Israel...

Be good to see Connolly and Eaton qualify again here!

QR3: (q1) Chris Eaton WR 878 beat Kyle Brassington UNR by 3 & 3
QR3: (q3) Ross Connolly WR 1043 lost to Florian Reynet (FRA) UNR by 3-6 6-3 6-1

QR4: (q1) Chris Eaton WR 878 beat (q16) Pablo Martin-Adalia (ESP) WR 1411 by 6-4 7-6(5)

R1: (Q) Chris Eaton WR 878 v (Q) Laurent Vigne (FRA) WR 1192

A dire loss for Ross but good to see Chris making it to the main draw - he gets a really good R1 draw too and if he wins, he is likely to play no. 4 seed Valtzer (whom he shocked last week before getting stuffed by the eventual winner of the tournament) in R2.

Chris will play his R1 match on Tuesday. Qualifying was played at Ramat Hasharon, where this week's tournament was held, they now decamp to Raanana for the main draw.

Chris did well to come through without dropping a set, these qualifying matches can be trickier than they appear.

He should beat Vigne who's ranked over 300 places lower. The Frenchman was very impressive in the qualies, not dropping a set but he lost to Kyle Brassington last week. However, he did make the quarters of the first Israel 10K at the start of March.

I guess that Ross Connolly's lack of consistency from the baseline is costing him these matches on the slow hard in Israel

R2: (Q) Chris Eaton WR 896 v (4) Dekel Valtzer (ISR) WR 573

Chris seems to be in good form lately but can he shock Valtzer for the second week running?

On Wednesday, Chris is 2nd on Court 6 at about 09.30 GMT.
