its the wrong thread, but on the stella wc's i think they might wait to see if anyone puts on a great run at surbs and would be forced to miss the qualies. at the end of the day all our players will eb going for the Queens Q anyway so they can afford to wait.
as i have mentioned b4 the whole problem with the WC play-off was fitting it in in an already overcrowed time period and possibly punihsing the players who do better,

Montana, which US Sports are you into and which teams do you support? Sorry John....I missed this....guess I never came back to check on the thread.
Anyway, my fav American Team is the LA Kings. I really enjoy hockey and am very sad to see the Ducks 1 up. With Henman's loss this has been a tough week.
I am also an Angels fan and will be at one of their games next month. I'll also be at the Hatton fight in Vegas on June 23. I like the Cubs too after going to Wrigley for a double header in 1995. I have since been back twice and have a soft spot for them.
When it comes to the NFL I go for the Broncos, although most of that was because I am an Elway fan. I got to see him play live twice in San Diego and once against the LA Rams....I never went to see the Broncos play the Raiders as I didn't want to take my life in my hands.
And as for MLS, Galaxy! I am not into Basketball.....but have been to a Clippers game....lol....does that count?
Elena Baltacha, Anne Keothavong, Naomi Cavaday and Melanie South have also been handed wild cards into the ladies' singles, along with Viktoriya Kutuzova (Ukraine), Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (Russia) and Caroline Wozniacki (Denmark).
Jamie Baker and Alex Bogdanovic, Richard Bloomfield, Joshua Goodall and Jonathan Marray and Dutchman Thiemo de Bakker.
Bit disapointed that the likes of Sarah & Stoop have not been given one yet....
Of all tyrannies a tyranny exercised for the good of its victim may be the most oppressive.... those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience
I think he won a Masters' Doubles Tourny with Henman a couple of years back....they entered close to the deadline as neither had a partner and won it all....I think it was Rome or MC. If it was him he is a doubles specialist I think so an interesting choice....would prefer to see a young Brit to be honest....just for the test, experience and the dream etc.
Zimonjic was (with Fabrice Santoro) runners-up in the Wimbledon Mens Doubles last year. Wimbledon love giving singles wildcards to doubles specialists (the Woodies, Mahesh Bhupathi, Natasha Zvereva and Cara Black have all received Main Draw WCs for example)
Yeah I guess that the remaining three will go to foreigners....grrr....really hope that Donald Young doesn't get one I guess that after their Queens performances Cilic and Tsonga will get offered wcs
Maybe Sampras will take the 3rd ?
I'd give them to Childs, Kasiri and May, if I had the choice. Childs doesn't deserve one (for performances over the past yr) and neither Kasiri or May are ready for slam opposition but I'd still prefer them to go to Brits....and we know that Childs has the ability to win a match with a decent draw
Good to see that 2/3 qualies wcs have gone to Brits, unlike with the womens ones...it's really bizarre isn't it as on the womens side there's easily 8 players who deserve qualies wcs and yet 3 have been wasted on unknown foreigners !!
Hopefully the 2 TBC qualies wcs will go to juniors...
I don't really mind who gets the remaining wildcards, I think Tsonga really deserves one but please, anyone but Cilic, yes he's proven his worth this week but he's still a potential (probable after this week even) opponent in the Davis Cup so at least show a modicum of patriotism and not give it to him.
Oh, and I don't think Donald Young deserves one, he has his own Grand Slam where he'll get a wildcard so unless we get a wildcard for a Brit into the US I see no reason to help him out.
