Semi-finals:

(1) Hannah James (Warks) bt Samantha Vickers (Lincs) 6-3 6-1,
Laura Slater (Surrey) bt (2) Stephanie Cornish (Essex) 6-4 6-3

Final:
Laura Slater (Surrey) bt (1) Hannah James (Warks) 6-3 6-1


So as expected, Laura Slater takes the title, excellent couple of weeks for her. I'm surprised that the semi wasn't closer but credit to Laura, she's playing great at the moment. If she hadn't drawn Jane O'Donoghue in Jersey rd1, who knows she could have caused some big upsets.

She, she was the one. She trains at the LTA's academy at Bath.

Yeah, Hannah is ranked 5 in the GB U16s and 9 in the U18s.

Laura's still only 15 so she has plenty of time to improve those junior results and maybe develop more consistency at that level. She's got a very big, all-court game, will be suited more to the womens tour which is good.
