In Sarajevo, Crugnola won and draws level on points with Jamie.
The updated table is posted here (On BritishTennis.net) A very busy day:
Jamie wins his semi- final and advances past Jonnie and Greg to 256. Unfortunately, Crugnola and Snobelboth won their matches in Sarajevo and HoChi Minh City respectively and overtake all four of our guys.
So, Jonny's down 3 to 258; Greg's down 3 to 259 and Alan's down 2 to 265.
Josh escapes from any overtaking today, but both Dustov and Bohli move into range by winning in Vietnam. They play each other tomorrow, so one is bound to overtake
There's no- one left in action behind Jamie, so all four of the guys in the 250s & 260s are now safe for the week.
If Jamie wins tomorrow, he will overtake Cakl, Van Scheppingen, Popp, Cuevas, Baccanello, Simmons, Stoppini, Zeballos, Azzaro, Witten and Burgsmuller. He could overtake Crugnola and Snobel if they lose tomorrow.
The updated table is posted here (On BritishTennis.net) Jamie advances into the top 250: He's now world 244 (or will be on the 26th when the Futures points get added Snobelreached the final in Vietnam, so escapes from Jamie's reach. Crugnola lost and gets overtaken
Dustov won the honour of overtaking Josh, beating Bohli in Vietnam. Josh goes down to 215
There's no- one left in action behind Jamie, so all four of the guys in the 250s & 260s are now safe for the week.
Just Snobel lest behind Josh: he'll overtake if he beats Gulbis in the Ho Chi Minh final.
Good news: It turns out that Pavel Snobel was defending 42 points from Ho Chi Minh City last year, so rather than overtaking all of the Brits by adding 60 points and getting to 208, he merely got back to 18 points ahead of where he started, at 283. He must really like Vietnam! Also in Vietnan in 2006 was Denis Istomin, who should have been defending 6 points, and should have ended week 11 behind Josh. Also, Jan Vacek, was defending a point from Sarajevo '06, which puts him behind Alan. Unfortunately, I also missed the fact that Gary Lugassy was within range while he was winning the Jersey Futures, and he overtakes Jonny, Greg and Alan.
All of which means Josh ends the week 2 places and Jamie ends the week one place better off: Josh at 214, Jamie 243, Jonny 258, Greg 259 amd Alan at 265
