That's a blow, MK, there was me thinking you sounded as though you were a tennis player and coming up with Miles Kasiri as the only one I could think of with initials MK, and you go and blow it by cheering him on.
Should have a good chance v Bocko. Bocko is ranked 607 and has been ranked thereabouts for some time now. He's at his best on clay as he showed last summer when he made a 10K final in the States. So far in 2007, he made a quarter-final on clay in Panama at the end of Jan but since then he's had some poor results, losing 6-3, 6-1 last week to an opponent ranked in the 900s.
Wow, it has been a quality day for British tennis...making up for a dire Tuesday !
Fantastic win for Miles, did really well to take control in the 3rd after losing such a close 2nd set. Results this year have been really promising so far..giving substance to his aim of top 500 by the end of 2007. If he can beat a player ranked in the low 600s like that, I'd say that his current playing strength is probably about 550-600. Won't be long before he's back in the top 1000.
The indoor courts in Canada tend to be pretty fast (faster than in Britain) from what I've heard, so that should really suit Miles.
Hopefully Miles' heart will be ruthless tomorrow. His opponent is ranked 579, hasn't been past rd2 of a futures since last October. In 2006 he made three 10K finals in the States. Again it's a very winnable match for Miles, De Heart isn't much higher thah Bocko. This is a really good chance for Miles to make the quarters.
