Indian Wells Doubles

Pathetic attempt in the CTB after clawing themselves back into it. They got creamed there.

Booray to serve 1st (so first in scores below)

0-1, mini break K/M

Austrians serving,

0-2
0-3

Booray,

0-4, double mb
0-5, triple mb, needs a superhuman effort now

Austrians,

0-6, lets change ends and start the comeback
1-6, one break back

Booray,

2-6
2-7, triple mb again

Austrians,

2-8, looking dead and buried now
3-8, one break back but will need an incredible run of points

Booray,

4-8
4-9, 5 match points Knowle/Melzer (who incidently have 100% of first serves in the ctb)

Austrians,

5-9

GSM Knowle & Melzer 6-2, 5-7, 10-5.

Great run from Booray while it lasted, hopefully they'll squeeze into the Miami draw next week

Well there had to be a letdown at some point.

it will be interesting to see where they go from here and if they can continue with a lot of success or if the aura has now worn off...I very much hope it's the former.

It was the second time these two pairs had met in a short space of time. I suspect the first time Bootie and Stretch had the advantage that their opponents didn't have a clue how they played, but this time used their knowledge to good advantage.

Close, though.  Better luck next time.

shame they couldn't continue to win, oh well. Will they get into Miami? (Or will they get a wildcard?)

Am I right in saying this was the first time they have played a team they'd already beaten? - If so I think Madeline's point will have been quite important (I think it is even if I'm wrong)

Ouch. So Linstedt and Benneteau just need to win their next matches to overtake Jamie, and Nieminen just needs his next one to overtake Aucks?

Pity they lost to someone they'd recently beaten....

Do they have Da for Miami now?

They have only an outside chance of getting into Miami.
