This is the ITF's official release on the case of Canas:
"The Panel considered that the Player was entitled to rely on the expertise of independent medical staff provided by the organisers of the Acapulco tournament. The arbitrators also emphasised the fact that a mistake in the delivery of the medication was made not by the Player, but rather by the tournament staff. However, the Panel considered that the Player had a duty of utmost caution after visiting the tournament doctor to ascertain whether the medication received was indeed the medication prescribed by the doctor."
I see. Maybe this was him really, really determined to get his own back then. How can they expect the poor players to take reponsibility when all the supposed experts can't manage it?
I wish Greg had managed the same kind of thing.

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
Querry was a double break 3-0 up, and a single break 5-3 up in the breaker. I really thought he'd use his serve to see the match out but it wasn't to be.
Querrey was really dumb to have not finished off the match there.
At the start I was thinking that he would trouble Davydenko as the conditions suit him very well but wouldn't have enough to beat him, however, I was pretty sure of a Querrey win after the first set. He was serving when he had a 5-3 lead, I think.
Going to be a really fascinating quarter-final between Roddick and Ljubicic.
Roddick beat Gasquet 7-6, 6-3 in rd4 and Ljubo beat Nalbandian 2-6, 6-4, 6-2.
I'm going for A-Rod to make the final here...looks like he'll be up against Nadal in the semis iuf he wins which will be a cracker.
Haas v Gonzo is an interesting rd4 match tonight, rematch of the AO semi. Gonzo isn't playing as well atm so it definately won't be 1-sided. I thought Gonzo would go out to Soderling in rd3 so I'm hoping that Haas wins to boost my Pick'em chances !
