I can see him been a top 500 player by the end of the year
That's his aim for 2007, then after that he'll be looking to push on to challenger level. I think he's still being coached by Mike Raphael, not entirely sure though.
I think top 500 if definately achievable, the big question is whether he can stay injury-free, he's already missed a whole month this year.
R2: Miles Kasiri WR 1411 lost to (Q) Chris Wettengel (USA) WR 704 by 1 & 3
Given that his protected ranking is in the 800s and people here talk about him getting into the top 500 this year, Miles suffered a surprisingly heavy loss to Wettengell in R2.
A disappointing loss but this is Miles' first tournament since the end of Jan so he could be pretty rusty. I doubt it's anything to do with the surface, they're competing on indoor hard which should suit Miles' game.
I wouldn't be too pessimistic, in France at the start of the year he beat some players ranked in the 700s very easily !

For Miles, the faster the court the better tbh. His game is most suited to fast surfaces, his strengths are ending points quick with the big serve and forehand rather than grinding things out in the long rallies.
Yes, but Bester is all of power from what I've heard of him.
When you play a better player it's often advisable that you play on a surface that doesn't suit him, even if that isn't your best surface. Like Robredo would rather play Nadal on hard than clay etc.
