A very convincing win for Josh against a player who beat him 4 & 3 in the Wrexham Challenger. Spending a week or two 'slumming it' with the Futures boys seems to be doing him some good!

SF: (1) Josh Goodall WR 213 v Armin Sandbichler (AUT) WR 625

His semi-final opponent, who shocked Tourte today, is a player whom Josh beat 5 & 3 in the Vendryne Future last November.

Great wins for both of them till now. I always thought that Jamie will toy around with this field, but it's great to see the old Josh back.

F Wolmarans (RSA) bt J Baker (GB)(3) 6-3, 7-5

Wolmarans knocks out his 2nd successive seed, what on earth happened there ?

that's ridiculous - I thought Jamie was a shoe-in to at least reach the Final and defend his Hamilton RU points!

I guess he was due an off-day.

must have been quite an off day, apart from Wolmarans' performances in this tourney, he's done nothing special for ages. Maybe he just has a game which suits the Jersey courts and has found that the surroundings bring out the best in him - like Simon Harston in 2005 who reached the Jersey 15K final and barely won a match after that

Hopefully Sunderland will bring better results for Jamie next week.

I really wanted Jamie to reach at least the finals. Oh well, hopefully he does better next week and continues his rise up the rankings. hope so anyway.
