Rosanna Hatch does not yet have a WR, but still was a DA here (methinks in the days of no qualie ranking points, these futures may get a little more attractive).

And.... R1

Rosanna HATCH (GBR, UR) defeated Sophie CORNEROTTE (BEL, UR) 62 62

This is her first MD win, and second ranking tournament.

R2 is going to be a bit tougher...

vs (1) Debbrich FEYS (BEL, 469)

Still, I guess mission accomplished for Rosanna. Anything more a big bonus.

Emily Webley-Smith was entered here but opted not to go, shame as the field is so weak !

I guess cost was a factor, going to Africa and then back to Britain for some 10Ks isn't exactly a good financial plan

Week 2 in Benin

Rosanna Hatch is again a MD DA, despite lack of a world ranking, in this somewhat weak field.

Alas, Rosanna this week has one of the sterner R1 draws

vs MUCI-TORRES, Mariana (VEN, 697) 6 (Aged 19, on the way up)

If she plays as well as she did last week against Feys, there is a chance, but no gimme this time.

Yeah, very close match in rd1 of the Caracas 10K. Muci-Torres won 6-4, 7-5.
