Don't forget the 5 minutes he sat in the gravel during the race, the torrential rain, the starting from the back of the grid and the choosing the wrong tyres - twice; 9th was an outstanding performance!

Alonso pole-axed for Hungarian GP, (perhaps i missed a vocation as a headline writer).
i can't say i'm disappointed.. everything he says in the press just seems to be contradicted by his unsportsmanlike behaviour.
p.s. i remember when Ivan Lendl lost the wimbledon final to Pat Cash all those years ago, i thought someone should have come up with the headline "Czech is finally Cashed".
So Lewis Hamilton is on the front row with Raikkonen and Alonso behind him.
Best of luck to him.
(an aside though - all this talk about him being the first rookie to win, if he wins, doesn't make sense. Whoever won the inaugral F1 title must have been a rookie...)

I take it that's because everyone must have been a rookie.
I'm guessing probably not actually as the first world championship happened was not the same year as Grand Prixs began so the drivers in the first world championship year had already been racing in F1 before. (I could be making this up but I believe that's the case)
