Ever wanted to have your name on the side of a Formula 1 car? ... now's your chance...
"The Honda Formula One team have split with tradition in a bid to help raise awareness of the environmental issues facing the planet.
For years the livery of F1 cars have been dominated by advertising and sponsors logos, but this season's RA107's driven by Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello will simply feature an image of earth.
Via the website, www.myearthdream.com, anyone who wishes will have the opportunity to have their name on the car, pledge to make a lifestyle change to improve the environment or make a donation to an environmental charity".

btw - It sould be a great season hopefully .. really difficult to predict between Ferrari, McClaren, and Renault in my opinion.. and who knows if one of the other teams could spring a surprise?
Yeah should be a really great season...I'm really struggling to know who to support though. For years I've been pro McClaren and Kimi and anti Ferrari and Alonso, now I'm stuck! I think I'm going for McClaren still but Hamilton over Alonso.
BMW are looking pretty good in the testing, they might be the surprise package this year although it's always hard to tell, I mean this time last year Honda looked like they'd be right up there with the big boys.
What do people think Renault will do this year? Are they still the best or was it simply Alonso's skill?

Have Ferrari have made too many reshuffles in their technical/engineering staff to be settled enough this season? They have started the last couple of seasons slowly enough as it is. I always get the impression with Kimi that he goes a bit too much for personal glory 'pedal to the metal' the whole time, even if it means burning his engine out rather than finishing the race. Maybe this season will prove me wrong. On the plus side for Ferrari, they have been with Bridgestone tyres for years. I've got a feeling Massa could do very well, possibly outperforming Kimi.
Renault are apparently struggling with the Bridgestone's in testing .. I don't think they will win either title this year.
How reliable will McClaren be? I think they'll be a very much improved outfit on recent seasons. I'm backing Alonso to win the title. I like the guy. I like the fact he was never intimidated by Schumacher, and that he has a very mature head on his young shoulders in terms of knowing what he needs to achieve in each race.
BMW - my pick as surprise package - I think they will outperform Renault this season.
lewis had an amazing race .. this year i will be supporting Alonso as usual and the brits.. so i guess i will be cheering McLaren on , but i think that Kimi and Massi will have an amazing year in the Fararri
i am not sure now on F1; i was a scumi fan since about '92 so with him out its hard to choose. i like Ferrari cause of him, so am drawn to kimi/massa, but have no real like for kimi particuarly.
on the other hand lewis is really exciting (did team ordesr bump Alsono ahead, hmmmm!) but have never liked Mclaren as they have generally been the'enemy' of drivers i have supported.

awww i really dont like Kimi.. i dont think he has any personality and i just find him slightly boring to watch . I like Mclaren because i no someone who works on the F1 team for them ( actually you may no him , he got run over in the pit lane in the 90's ) so i get all the inside information on them hehe
i cant remember really, several people get run over :) My dad has always been into F1 as he used to be a race driver him self for a while, never that level, but did do some single seaters.so he got me into from a young age
i guess this season am just hoping for some good races, they just have to fix the overtaking soon tho, when a car is 3-4 sec's a lap faster and cant overtake its just crazy.
funny i have ever been to a race live but have been to practice a few times at silverstone, once (when was about 13) even went over the fence, track and pit wall and got to sit in a tryell!! was great (couldnt reach the pedals tho), also saw Nige and Shumi in their garages, course you'd never get away with something like that now

Monte Carlo used to be fun that way years ago. You would walk down some little back street, hear a deafening noise ahead, then through open doors you would see a formula one car being worked on!
Not like that now, they are all locked away together away from the public. Spoilsports.
1. Fernando Alonso (Spa) McLaren 1:32:14.930 2. Lewis Hamilton (GB) McLaren +00:17.557 3. Kimi Raikkonen (Fin) Ferrari 00:18.339 4. Nick Heidfeld (Ger) BMW Sauber 00:33.777 5. Felipe Massa (Bzl) Ferrari 00:36.705 6. Giancarlo Fisichella (Ita) Renault 01:05.638 7. Jarno Trulli (Ita) Toyota 01:10.132 8. Heikki Kovalainen (Fin) Renault 01:12.015 9. Alexander Wurz (Aus) Williams-Toyota 01:29.924 10. Mark Webber (Aus) RedBull-Renault 01:33.500
Hamilton is good.
Button can't do anything with that dumb car. I wonder how they managed to mess up the car this way!
Great to see Hamilton doing well! Seeing the times it looks like he did well to fend off Raikkonen. I've taped the race, not had chance to watch it yet (blame studying) but I like to know what happened beforehand.
Oh damn, I didn't know the result and was going to watch the re-run this afternoon, then in a moment of forgetfulness forgot the race was already over and clicked on this thread. . .
Ah well, I'll just enjoy watching Hamilton come second. I like Alonso, too.
If my husband is annoying me I can threaten to tell him who won. . .
