Johnnylad : 4020 posts later and I finally formally introduce myself!

Hello.

My name is John. I'm 25 and married with a child on the way! Nice!

I live in Wirral and currently clean my house for a living...unemployed youth worker!

Got into tennis through watching Queens and Wimbledon on TV every year I can remember.

Only been to see pro tennis live twice.

Once was the Liverpool Invitational Grass tournament in 2005. Saw Ljubicic, Djokovic, Goldstein and Youzhny plus the Nastase/Cash/Bahrami/Leconte exhibition show!

Gonna try and go again this year. There's WTA there now too!

Other live tennis was DAvis Cup GB vs USA at NIA, Birminghamin 1999. Went for the final day. Saw Henman beat Todd Martin   4-6  7-5  6-3  7-6(4) and then Greg vs Courier an absolute classic that ended up  4-6 7-6(3) 3-6 6-1 6-8.

We lost the tie but I was proper hooked!

More interested in the careers of the guys ranked between 150-1500 and seeing how they
fluctuate. Obviously I'll still follow them in the big time if they make it!

Its been great to be part of the AMMB family! Long may we continue!

Continue to be uber-impressed with britishtennis.net

(ps this is my favourite smilie

Hello, Jonny. It's always nice to hear about new members. I hope that you'll enjoy this place as much we do and contribute at times.

I won't post an intro before I overtake David in the post race.

I really need to get myself motivated. I absolutely hate being second best.

I am not even second best now.

You're only 75 away Count. Do scores for a couple of Boggo matches and you'll be there!

Hi Johnny by the way, Whens the new family member due? What kind of youth work do you do/want to do? And finally, proving my ignorance...where is Wirral?
