Sam Querrey is a great kid. He is very good friends with one of our nationally ranked juniors(Jessica Alexander). They keep in touch with each other daily. Sam played our Challenger in 06. The USTA gave him a wc that year. He won 2 rounds. The second match he won(GG Lopez) was very impressive. Lopez had just come from beating Agassi the week before and Sam disposed of him in straights. He has worked on his weaknesses(movement and volleying) since our 06 challenger and obviously his ranking speaks for that work. Last week in Memphis he destroyed Karlovic(2,3) who the week earlier lost 3 tight sets to Murray in the finals. I see Sam having a little to much firepower tonight, but I do see two tight sets. I'll say 5,5 for the American.......but I have known to be wrong.
Good luck to Josh Goodall in Germany. I enjoyed meeting Josh in Dallas this year, but he plays one of my close friends, Bjorn Rehnquist, so this match will be a tough one to watch. Don't want either guy to lose.
i doubt Boggo played really badly I expect Querrey just played really well, as was said he moved up another 15 places last week, he's on the rise for sure and Boggo was just unfortunate as someone in the way. I expect Querrey to reach the quarters at least this week.
Where does Alex head next? Has he got into IW qualies?

look at the b@stard JL, haivng a good laugh a alex loses, probably gives him a good excuse nto to pick alex now
hopefully alex can hook up with gilbert and the murrays for some training befire IWQ, lets hope he gets a good draw, he seems to be playign better, just ran into a steam train today.
unfortunatly it doesnt look like the match was on TV after all, but this is still good experince for alex, losing to Querrey not too bad, and the more mactehs he plays at this lvl the better for him. he still has a decent grace period on points defence

Well, in that case, Brad, Jamie and Andre are all also laughing at Alex's misfortune..... possibly Alex had just won a great point? ...possibly, Brad had just told Andre that the brits would whop US ass in the Davis cup....
