This guy has to be one of the unluckiest players on the tour
From Eurosport website:
"Joachim Johansson is expected to be sidelined for at least three months following shoulder surgery. The 24-year-old Swede also missed seven months in July 2005 following a shoulder operation.
Johansson, who has three ATP titles, made the last four of the ATP tournament in Adelaide in January, but pulled out in the first round of the Australian Open because of severe blisters on his feet.
A run of injuries mean the six-foot, six-inch hard-court specialist has dropped to 155 in the world rankings from a career high nine in February 2005."
This is terrible. He has always been one of my few favourite non-British players. His career was coming along so nicely - made some serious progress in the US Open, cracked the top ten and seemed all set to become a contender for Slams when all this started happening.
Poor Johansson. It must be really frustrating to keep getting injuries that prevent you from playing the sport you love. I hope he does make a miraculous recovery and manages to fulfil his potential in the end.

He's still only young so plenty of time to fulfill his potential and he has the game to become a slam contender if he can remain injury-free. First match I saw of him was that classic he had against Agassi at the AO a few years ago and then his defeat of Rusedski at Wimby 2005 - awesome display of power-hitting
