Becker beats Guga, but not by a big enough margin (I think) to be able to go through: I think if Guga beats Hernych by anything better than 64 63, then Guga'll go through, and if he does 63 64 or worse, then Hernych goes through......which I think warrants a smilie:

Simon went out and Rochus won in Dubai. By beating Simon, Santoro advances onto the table

In Vegas, Becker won, but not well enough. Verdasco won, and is out of reach.

Benneteau is a set down to Querrey - even if he wins (in 3) he won't go through

Later, in Acapulco, #1 threat, Gaudio plays qualifyer Guzman. A win would see him overtaking Tim

On the upside, because he's got less than 18 tournaments forming his points, every point he gains this week counts towards his total. In Monday's rankings he was WR 37. On the live rankings he began the week dropping to 45, but his first RR win brought him up to 41.

Yesterday, Gaudio and Chela overtook him, so Tim's down to 43. He has 20 points from his first RR win, and plays his second tonight.
