She gets a whopping 1 point. There's 2 more qualifying rounds (both against tougher opposition) and if she makes it through those she gets a massive 3 points in total.
Tonight Katie plays 20 year old Czech 2nd seed Sandra Zahlavova, who's ranked about 40 places higher at 147 and beat veteran South African Nathalie Grandin in 3 sets in rd1. Zahlavova has been playing WTAs and 75Ks so far this year, with just 1 main draw win (in the Midland 75K). She qualified for the AO and Gold Coast in Jan.
In 2006 she made three 25K finals, 4 semis and two 50K quarters. She has her best results on clay and slow hard courts.
