Very little change from the end of week 8: Just Dimo Tursunov replacing Lleyton Hewitt, who's defending 120 points from Vegas last year. Haas, could go off the top of the table if he beats Roddick in Memphis.
All Andy's competitors who are in action are playing in Dubai. Only Djokovic, Ferrer and Baghdatis can overatake this week: I'm sure Bethan will give us the possible permutations. Berdych and Haas can put some more space between their ranking and Andy's ahead of Indian Wells.
I have to say, I would be highly surprised if Djoko doesn't make it to the quarters. He shouldn't make it further as he meets Fedex there, but I'd wager Andy on p14 next week - not that it makes much difference as far as seeding is concerned; in fact none at all.
I'd be equally surprised if he gets lower than that: Bagdathis plays Nadal in the first round, and Ferrer has a quarter without wc or qs in it, so should hopefully be out before the semis.
Edit: there is one wc in ferrer's quarter, but only one... as opposed to 3 qs in the Federer/Djoko one (poor lambs...)

Yup - pretty much the same. I just don't like him. Him and Andy had a couple of issues last season at one point I think as well. I don't know - he's just never been a guy I've been able to warm to. He's a real threat on faster courts for a lot of people. i know Dubai isn't indoors but his indoor record is amazing. He's a bit of a flake though - and prone to choking in matches.
Vliegen won the first set against Djoko 6-2. On serve in the second.
