Burniol-Teixido beat a qualifier 6-2, 6-4 in rd1. He's on form having won a 10K at the end of January but maybe Morgan's close win in Tarragona last year will give him an edge.
Btw Johnny, I assume you mean that Flan and Rushby are in the doubles in Portugal unless they've found some super-cheap flights

Now that's an interesting scoreline. Looks similar to the kind of scores Andy was getting 18-24 months ago. Start slowly, realise you're going to lose the 1st set so conserve yourself, go all out in the 2nd set, and run out of puff at the last gasp in the 3rd.... or am I just talking gibberish because it's pretty late and I'm slightly tipsy. Oh well, I still have high hopes for Morgan.
It's very frustrating that he keeps getting these very good wins against seeds in R1 then loses to unseeded players in R2 so only gets one point to show for it. He's clearly got the talent to string a good run of wins together at thi level, I just hope he does soon!
