I'm sure they will, but I read somewhere that there is a shortage of charter planes at the moment, as a lot have been hired to replace the grounded Boeing 737-max.
But the fans will get there one way or another, all 16,000 of them, because that's how many tickets each club gets !
I heard some chaps saying today they are flying into Southern France and hiring a car to get down, others fliying to Zaragosa which is quite close to Madrid, so lots of options if there is a will.
Simon Calder, the travel correspondent, was on Talksport saying how much the airlines had been humping up their fares from the UK to Madrid in the days up to the CL final.
So Arsenal and Chelsea make it 4 English clubs in the European finals, testimony to the Premier league and its quality currently. 3 London teams as well and not a Manchester team in sight .
Arsenal and Chelsea is in Baku, apparently no direct flights at all to Baku from London in the week before the final and for 3 days afterwards. No idea how many fans they expect to make it across there.
Sadly we are away on holiday in the States for both finals, hope I can find a channel that shows the matches!!
The fact is that Azerbaijan is in UEFA which is what matters.
It seems to have a perfectly adequate stadium and Baku to be a lovely city.
But yes 6,000 tickets apiece are absolutely ridiculous allocations. And folk were moaning about the Champions League allocations and you'ed imagine a bigger "UEFA family". take up for it.
And I really hope travel can be made much easier for the fans than it seems to be at the moment.
Where it is within UEFA should not in itself be an issue but a final venue should be reasonably accessible for fans and be able to cope with a much greater allocation for each side. Not sure why such a restriction?

The restriction is probably because the rest of thw tickets are allocated to the federations and the local fans. It's the same for rhe Champions league final- 16.5k to each club and the rest elsewhere.
Considering the National Stadium in Baku, where I assume this will be played, holds 67000 people, 6,000 to each club is ridiculously small. Should at least be the same as the Champions League Final allocations, which in themselves should be slightly higher.
