the doctor told him not to go to IW as he was getting over flu, if he had gone on long plane journey very high chance of reoccurnce aparently.

Chekhov, Pavel RUS (2006 Luxilon Cup champion)
Luncanu, Alex ROU (2006 Orange Bowl champion)
Todero, Nicolas ARG (pre-qualifying tournament champion)

I guess that he didn't ask for one.

I guess that he didn't ask for one.

I suppose he does still have an outside chance of getting direct entry, as he would have done so in Indian Wells (the cut there was at 261), and I guess he would have signed up for qualifying.

I guess so but it would still require a huge amount of withdrawals.

Last time I heard, Bloomers was still 18th on the alts list...long way down

Bloomers is now up to 10th on the alternate list, so he's getting closer to getting entry, and I don't think Greg was ranked too far behind Bloomers when the list came out. Also, the cut in Indian Wells went a long way down, so I guess you can assume the same thing will happen in Miami, with withdrawals happening to play in challengers, to the main draw, and other reasons as well

It's unlikely he'll get in, but as long as he is on the list there is a chance
