So, what's the likelihood that the USTA will give these guys a wildcard into Indian Wells? Butorac is American afterall and if they win here, and maybe in Las Vegas (if they decided to go) surely they'd deserve one? I know Jamie is planning to play with Andy but if he had to chance to play with Bootie would he?
Oh and for those who can't remember, Erlich and Ram beat the Murray bros in Bangkok so a little bit of revenge being a dish best served cold for Jamie?

The USTA is really trying to change policy and hand "their" wc's to all american teams. I don't like the idea, but that was the word as of early Feb. Now of course I'm sure that can change from tourney to tourney depending on who is entered, but from what I was told from a USTA official, thats the deal.
I guess that you're referring to doubles only, but the USTA is handing out loads of wild cards to foreigners in singles.
Guccione in San Jose, Henman and Kuerten in Vegas and Kuerten again in Indian Wells. What has Kuerten done to deserve two wild cards outside his country?
Well firstly Guga is a MASSIVE draw. But also kuerten was a RU in indian wells (before getting thrashed by hewitt) and has been a finalist and/or winner at a few other us tournies.
He's a crowd puller without a doubt but it's pretty unlikely that he's going to do any more.
And loads of young Americans deserve it more - Michael McClune, Alex Kuznetsov, Donald Young, Jesse Levine, Scoville Jenkins, Sam Querrey, plus people like Kendrick, Delic and Russell.
What a result for them...already on the BBC web site...under Andys preview....10 matches un beaten on tour...now that must make Jamie a shoe-in for the DC !!
