ATP San Jose : Doubles SF : Murray/Butorac v Lipsky/Martin

Jamie and Bootie are excellent doubles players. Both are superb at the net and they stand right up at the net, like you rarely see anymore amongst either the doubles guys or the singles. Watching them reminds me of seeing clips from old wimbledon doubles matches with Lloydy and Mac etc they are that close to the net.

B serving:

15-0, good volley and the smashe winner from Jamie, into open court as disguised where going.
second serve: 30-0 ace out wide. (the classic lefty serve!)
40-0 one of best points of match, again great doubles play. moving from front to back of court, Jamie chases a lob, gets it back and then the return, which M sends into net.

ok missed a point. game

2-2

L to serve:
15-15, L has oodles of time to set up shot...and so he misses
30-15, good serve
40-15, good serve, J yells at self for missing return!
game. B hits lob. Martin smashes winner. no chance.

3-2

GC77 - are you keeping track most weeks?   Any chance I could get you to send me updates for the site?

Rob,

Both myself and Arka have databases up and running for Jamie and James Auckland. No problem sending you info each week. Just let me know what you need.

The sit down is very amusing, there is always an announcer advertising something or other, last time it was a steak house, this time a jewellers!

Jamie to serve at 2-3 on serve in second:

second serve, hit tape and went wide. 0-15, B sends volley long. his first ue I think (?)
15-15, great serve, no return hehe!
30-15, good serve, return down the line, B right there whacks the forehand volley for a winner.
second serve. same as first point. 40-15, smash winner down the line, B took it, ran back and waited for it didn't make the mistake.
second serve: 40-30, good rally, B tries the topspin lob and goes about a cm long.
deuce. good serve, good return. M's turn for the lob. his goes in by a cm !
Lipsky decides to take the deuce point. second serve, into bottom of net. great defence volleys/smashes by JB, finally M can't get reply back. game.
3-3
