ATP San Jose : Doubles SF : Murray/Butorac v Lipsky/Martin

B serving for the set.

15-0, great intercept from JM again, smashes the response straight at L, apologizes but takes the point!
second serve. 15-15, good return right as B's feet as he runs towards the net, fails to get it over the net. and my connection and streaming drops out. grr.
I formation. 30-15(I think, not sure if I missed anything) Jamie gets intercept - volley winner
40-15, return into net
game and first set! serve out wide, M returns right onto Jamie's racket, he whips it across court for the winner, L still at back of court no chance.

Commentator says, and I agree that the difference is the return of serve. Jamie and Bootie are great at it, in the Murray blood maybe?!

what is the expected ranking of this duo to be:

if they win the tournament.

Chela just took his service game after about 20 (ok exaggerating) deuces. 44. Canas now running away with his serve, 30-0. I want canas to win, he's really racing back up the rankings.

yeah. he was screwed over with his ban but he seems determined to put that behind him. He is proving to be a great fighter coming back from breaks downs, sets and break downs quite a few times now...

OKies. set 2.

Lipsky to serve:

15-0, good serve. good return from B, good response, reply hits tape, bounces well for L who whacks it down the line for a winner
second serve. 15-15 great return from J, causal volley resonse, B chases to the net and puts it away, foolish mistake!
15-30, good return to feet of running L who can't get it over net.
second serve: 30-30 ace out wide, right on line and I swear that didn't go more than half-way down the service box Jamie didn't stand a chance
40-30 B return out wide, off a good serve
game. LM both at net, quck rally, M gets volley winner.

1-0

Did Canas actually take drugs or was he in the same boat as Rusedski?

He's innocent. The doctor in Acapulco gave it to him by mistake. The ATP admitted it.

Murray serving:

second serve/: 15-0, looked like B had the volley winner but L got there, B smashes the overhead back and LM net
second serve, 15-15. first df of match. Jamie has a really high balltoss before serving
I formation. second serve, I again: 15-30, superbe return winner cross-court first time he's gone cross-court, caught JB off guard.
30-30, L did well to return that, but met B at net and volley winner through middle.
I, second serve: I again: best rally of the match. Both teams at net, lots of reflex, B gets winner because neither LorM where near enough to net - on service line.
game. unreturnable serve.

1-1

Jamie Murray Ranking:

If they lose this match - 62
If they lose in final - 57
If they win San Jose - 52 if Scheuttler doesn't make final, 53 if he does

M serving:

second serve: 15-0
15-15, B intercept winner, through L's feet. both J and B 'in the zone' according to commentator. Really there's no way they can lose if they keep playing like this.
30-15, B moves around to get the forhand, and misses it!
40-15, ace out wide.
game. return long. good serve.

2-1

Commentator calls being broken 'getting busted'. thought you'd like to know.
